In other business, the board approved:
- A $3,000 Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) scholarship grant from the State Library of North Carolina to fund professional conference attendance for two county public library staff members.
- Unanimously approved a rezoning request for approximately 1.15 acres along Oakridge Farm Highway, shifting the parcel back to residential zoning to allow for a single-family home.
- Approved the county’s official legislative goal proposals to be submitted to the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC).
